This is Ms. Ward's 23rd  year in education and her 5th year as Vice Principal.  Originally from the east coast, Ms. Ward is a proud graduate of the former Serra High School.  She returned in 1998 to teach English. Ms. Ward taught 9th and 10th grade English and then  AP English Language and Composition.  She also coached field hockey and lacrosse (and soccer for 13 seasons).  Ms. Ward enjoys working with the staff and students and is the Vice Principal for the Class of 2022 and Class of 2025.  She believes that all students can achieve when presented with a challenging and engaging learning experience.  She wants to help Canyon Hills be the best school it can be as well as help all students have a positive experience here.

Ms. Ward loves dogs; to read; go to the beach; kayak and be on the water; watch and play sports;  listen to music;  watch musical theater; and spend time with her daughter, parents and friends.  Ms. Ward loves to travel, especially in Spanish speaking countries.  Her  trips to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, and Bogota, Colombia are some of her favorites!  Ms. Ward hopes to travel to Greece and Croatia someday, as well as San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato in Mexico!

Ms. Ward resides in Tierrasanta with her beautiful  10 year-old daughter,  her black Lab, Abby, and a golden retriever puppy, Bo.
