Staff Bio

Hi¡ My name is Gonzalo Ruiz.  I have lived in San Diego for the last twenty-five years.  Before coming to enjoy this great city, I lived in Santa Cruz, California, for another ten years.  I completed my general education at Hartnell College in Salinas California and subsequently I moved to San Diego to attend SDSU.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Spanish and my teaching credential at San Diego State University.  Since I received my teaching credential, I have been teaching Spanish to college and High school students.

I love to teach and, I enjoy living in San Diego.  The multiculturalism in all its manifestations and the weather here are unique. I love soccer and tennis.  In my free time I like to practice tennis.  I don’t play soccer anymore but, I have enjoyed coaching freshman girls and JV boys’ soccer teams as much as I enjoyed playing the sport.
