This is my fourth year teaching at Canyon Hills and it is a privilege to have the opportunity to get to know your student and guide them through the subjects that I will be teaching this year.
I am originally from the South Bay of Los Angeles(Carson) where I was born, raised, and received most of my education. After completing my undergraduate degree I enlisted in the United States Army where I served as a combat medic for six years. I have always felt strongly about serving and after leaving the military I returned to school and earned my teaching credential here in San Diego where I have lived for nearly a decade now.
I am married, and my wife and I recently celebrated our son's third birthday. I enjoy numerous outdoor activities and sports and in particular am an avid backpacker, ask me about the pacific crest trail sometime. I also enjoy music and encourage all my students to bring in their musical media (records, CDs, tapes) so that we may all enjoy, and who knows, we may be sampling something from your personal collection from when you were back in high school.
